LOCAL CONTENT FOR AFRICAN LIBRARIES (LOCAL)

One in ten children do not have access to education in a language they speak or understand. Unsurprisingly, these children struggle more educationally than their peers who learn in their mother tongues.

The project

We launched the Local Content for African Libraries (LOCAL) project to bring local language books to libraries and ensure that more children can learn in their mother-tongue language so that none are left behind.
