In Tanzania, female students are at risk of falling behind when they make the transition from primary to secondary education, partly because the teaching language switches.
The project
We’ve partnered with Camfed to give female students access to digital learning resources and support so they can develop the English literacy and language skills needed to succeed in school and beyond.
Project Design
E-readers
We delivered e-readers with engaging, relevant content, with a focus on bringing Tanzanian students increased access to English language content.
Capacity-building
We trained teachers and Learner Guides from Camfed’s CAMA network on how to use the e-readers so they can teach and support students to learn and grow with their e-readers.
Mobile
We curated a specialized mobile experience for CAMA participants in Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe to access professional development and empowerment materials.
