As the Chief Financial and Human Resources Officer at Worldreader, Shannon leads the organization’s infrastructure team, providing top-level business support to enable our work to run seamlessly and efficiently.
Shannon cares deeply about people. She believes in the power of opportunities that help children shape a positive sense of self and a belief that their dreams are achievable. Worldreader provides these opportunities through reading, the superpower that unlocks the potential in all human beings.
Shannon brings to Worldreader over 25 years of financial executive leadership experience in the non-profit industry. She has a keen eye for creatively unlocking the financial stories behind the organization’s impact. Shannon takes great pride in her leadership of Human Resources. She is dedicated to supporting a positive and inclusive work culture to inspire and embolden the Worldreader team in pursuit of our vision of a better world powered by reading.
Shannon holds degrees in both Business Administration, Accounting and Psychology from California State University, Chico. She is based in the San Francisco Bay Area with her family and beloved cat. In her free time she enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
