Worldreader collects some personal information about people who join the Worldreader community by subscribing to our e-mail newsletter. Worldreader also collects personal information about donors in connection with their donation. If you donate online to our US entity, Worldreader will assume you are interested in our programs and will keep you updated of our programs that you have supported with your donation. Worldreader will never sell, rent or trade this information to a third part. Children under the age of 18 may not make donations on this website without parental consent.

While no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, Worldreader takes all available precautions to protect the confidentiality of your personal and financial information in compliance with the applicable data protection and safety regulations.

Worldreader uses third-party vendors, such as Classy, Stripe or Azure (a provider of server storage services) to process donations and store other information. In all cases Worldreader will continue to be the controller of your data, the service providers will be data processors that will only act under our instructions. If you make a donation we will collect and process data relating to the financial transaction. When you make a donation within the EU we will collect your name and surname(s), your email address, your postal address, your credit card details, your tax ID and taxpayer status. If you make a donation in honour or memory of someone we will collect the name of the person you want to honour and when (if) provided the email of the honoree. You should always ensure you have their authorisation to share their personal data with us.We will use your data to process credit card payments and to keep a record in our financials. We will share your donation information with the tax authorities to comply with our legal obligation to disclose information about charitable donations. Worldreader uses third-party payment processors and server storage services, to process donations and store other information.
