Angry Birds Stella Inspiring Girls to Read

By

Two years ago, the UN declared October 11th as the International Day of the Girl in order to raise global awareness about the importance of educating girls. This year, in celebration of this important occasion Worldreader is teaming up with Rovio and Egmont to empower girls everywhere with books.

Rovio is best known for creating Angry Birds, the highest downloaded mobile game series of time. The newest installment of this massively popular series features Angry Birds Stella, a female character who champions individual uniqueness, female heroism and empowerment.

Rovio and Egmont Publishing bring Stella to life in a new book series for children called The Stella Diaries. This series, comprised of three books, is making its debut digitally on Worldreader Mobile. Girls all over the world will have an opportunity to follow Stella on her adventures and harness their own superpower, reading. Reading is a superpower that every girl should own. Help us make this a reality by donating to Worldreader today.
